  • What is a Digi Stamp?

A digi stamp is a high quality file of either one or multiple images.  They usually come in common file types such as .jpg (picture file).  You can use these files in many programs to resize and print your images.

How do I color my images?

One of the most popular methods of coloring images is using Copics or other alcohol based markers.  Make sure that once you have printed your image you use a heat gun to set the ink.  This should help stop the ink from bleeding when you are using your coloring tools.

How do I re-size and print my digi stamps?

I have taken the time to make two tutorials for you to follow to re-size and print your digital stamps.  Here is the tutorial for Microsoft Word and here is the tutorial for Paint

One of the easiest ways to use a digi stamp is to open it in your Microsoft word program however you can use other programs as well.  If after viewing the tutorial you still need more help please email us at totallystampalicious@gmail.com and I will be happy to help you.

What are the advantages of Digi Stamps over Rubber Stamps?

This is a question I have seen so many times.  I personally love having the rubber stamps in my collection but there are a lot of people who prefer just to have them saved on their personal computers.  Here are some of the advantages that I have found with digi stamps.

    • Digi stamps provide instant gratification.

    • Digi stamps are easily re-sized to fit all of your project needs.

    • With the right editing software you can flip your images.

    • Digi images only take up computer space.  Do not be fooled though, they do take up quite a bit of space because they are a high quality image file.  Just like pictures you will eventually use up lots of space on your computer.  Also, make sure you back them up in case your computer ever crashes.

What are the dis-advantages of Digi stamps over Rubber stamps?

As with anything there is always advantages and dis-advantages.  Here are some of the dis-advantages I have found with Digi Stamps.

    • Ink will sometimes still bleed when using lighter colored copics even if you heat set it.

    • You can not use some of the most basic techniques such as masking.

    • It is much harder to pack up your printer and computer to take with you to crafting retreats.

    • If your computer crashes and you have not backed it up you will lose your digi file.

    • Sometimes your printer may not print your image properly and you end up wasting cardstock.

    • Digi images for the most part only come as black lineart which means you have to play with your settings on your editing program and printer to get other colors.
